NEW DELHI: The Nifty Pharma index closed on a negative note on Tuesday.
Shares of Abbott India(up 2.59 per cent), Dr Reddys Laboratories(up 1.69 per cent), Zydus Lifesciences(up 1.54 per cent), Granules India(up 0.05 per cent) and Cipla(up 0.04 per cent) ended the day as top gainers in the pack.
On the other hand, Divis Laboratories(down 6.06 per cent), Gland Pharma(down 3.65 per cent), Aurobindo Pharma(down 3.62 per cent), Pfizer(down 3.44 per cent) and Lupin(down 2.85 per cent) finished as the top losers of the day.
The Nifty Pharma index closed 1.53 per cent down at 12691.6.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index ended down 89.55 points at 16125.15, while the BSE Sensex stood down 236.0 points at 54052.61.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 15 ended in the green, while 35 closed in the red.
Shares of Zomato Ltd., , , and were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of Delhivery Ltd., Venus Pipes &
., , Ltd. and Empyrean Cashews Ltd. hit their fresh 52-week highs in today’s trade, while , , Debock Sales & Mktg, and Vaibhav Global hit their fresh 52-week lows.
