Stock market update: Nifty Pharma index falls 0.84% in a weak market – Economic Times

NEW DELHI: The Nifty Pharma index traded negative around 10:50AM(IST)on Tuesday in a weak market.

Dr Reddys Laboratories(up 1.51 per cent), Granules India(up 1.27 per cent), Alembic Pharmaceuticals(up 0.98 per cent), Zydus Lifesciences(up 0.37 per cent) and Cipla(up 0.04 per cent) were among the top gainers.

Divis Laboratories(down 5.23 per cent), Glenmark Pharmaceuticals(down 2.24 per cent), Aurobindo Pharma(down 2.21 per cent), Gland Pharma(down 1.69 per cent) and Natco Pharma(down 1.51 per cent) were the top losers on the index.


The Nifty Pharma index was down 0.84 per cent at 12780.7 at the time of writing this report.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 46.8 points at 16167.9, while the BSE Sensex was down 100.76 points at 54187.85.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 19 were trading in the green, while 30 were in the red.

Shares of GMR Infra, Zomato Ltd., , YES Bank and SAIL were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

Shares of Venus Pipes & Tubes Ltd., Delhivery Ltd.,

, and hit their fresh 52-week highs in today’s trade, while Debock Sales & Mktg, , , and Sonu . hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
